Prayer for Beatification or Canonization or intercession

Almighy Father, Your Loving Son Jesus Christ declared, "There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friend."  Upon the Cross He fulfilled those words, and gave us an example to follow.

I humbly implore You to glorify Your servant Father Joseph Verbis Lafleur.  As a disciple, he practiced the virtues of faith, hope, and charity.  As a priest and Army Air Corps chaplian, he served You humbly.  In heroic fidelity to the example of Your Son, he laid down his life for his men, his friends.

Through the intercession of this Servant of God, Joseph Verbis Lafleur, hear my prayer:  (mention request).  And grant that I too may love and serve You by working for the salvation of souls.

         Amen.
