Every Saint and Blessed of the Catholic Church has a feast day on which the church gives thanksgiving to God for the Christian witness of that individual. Although the United States and its territories have relatively few Saints and Blesseds, the numbers are sufficient that every moment of the calendar year is not far removed from a feast day honoring someone featured on American Saints and Causes. Consider celebrating these feast days in your home, by talking about the life of the recognized individual or another appropriate way. We hope that the Dioceses of the United States will encourage their parishes, more and more, to celebrate the memorials of the Saints and Blesseds of the United States and speak of them in homilies, so their Christian witness may be known more broadly. It is likely that many dioceses have connections to the Blesseds of the United States and could petition to be able to include their feast days on their local calendars.
On this page, you will find a listing (in chronological order) of each feast day of the Saints and Blesseds of the United States.
