Yesterday, Pope Francis approved decrees from the Dicastery for the Causes of the Saints recognizing the Offer of Life of Servant of God Fr. Emil Kapaun, a priest and congressional medal of honor winner from Kansas who died during the Korean war. Fr. Kapaun can now be referred to as Venerable. Like the Heroic Virtues path, a miracle will be required for beatification. Father Kapaun is one of the first to be declared Venerable under the new Offer of Life path.
